Indoor mechanical bull rental in Alabama
Yes, the bull comes indoors. Gyms, civic centers, fellowship halls, event barns and expo halls can all work when the room has the space and power.

An indoor mechanical bull for winter and rainy-day events
Cold weather doesn’t have to cancel the party. Mechanical Bull of the South brings the bull, the padded inflatable landing area and Cole to indoor events across Alabama, from kids’ birthday parties to church lock-ins and company holiday parties. If your date is in winter, we are happy to talk through the room first.
What we need indoors
- Floor space: about a 20 x 20 foot clear area for the bull and its padded landing area, plus a little walking space
- Ceiling height: about 12 feet clear, so check for low lights, beams, sprinkler heads and banners
- Power: a standard 110V outlet within 100 feet
- Access: a way to carry equipment in from the parking area (tell us about doors, steps and halls)
- Your venue’s okay: some buildings restrict inflatables and equipment, so ask before you book
If you can’t measure your room or you aren’t sure about exact dimensions, contact us for space requirements. We will go through the room with you and confirm.
Indoor venues that can work
These types of rooms are used for events like these across Alabama:
- Gyms and sports complexes: for example the Cullman OmniPlex, a 115,500-square-foot indoor sports and events facility, though you should confirm its event rules with the venue
- Civic centers: city venues such as the Hanceville Civic Center, Trussville Civic Center and Gardendale Civic Center rent space to the public
- Church fellowship halls and youth buildings: a staple for lock-ins and fall or winter events
- Event centers and expo halls: such as the Point Mallard Event Center in Decatur, The Venue at Coosa Landing in Gadsden or the Von Braun Center in Huntsville
- Event barns, warehouses and party rooms: a good fit for birthday parties, receptions and company events
We list these as examples of places that rent space; we haven’t necessarily worked at each one, and rules differ by venue. Details were checked in October 2026.
Ask your venue before you book
- Do you allow inflatables and amusement equipment?
- What is the clear ceiling height at the spot we want?
- Which outlet can we use, and how far is it from that spot?
- Where can a vehicle and trailer unload, and what is the path inside?
- Is there a deposit, a damage policy or a time limit on setup and teardown?

Frequently asked questions
Can you ride a mechanical bull indoors?
Yes. Our bull can run indoors when the room has enough clear space, ceiling height and power. We need about a 20 x 20 foot clear area, a ceiling around 12 feet and a standard 110V outlet within 100 feet. Contact us for space requirements for your room.
How much space does a mechanical bull need?
Level ground with about 20 x 20 feet clear, about a 12-foot ceiling indoors, a standard 110V outlet within 100 feet (or our generator outdoors), and vehicle and trailer access. If your room is unusual, contact us for space requirements.
What floors does the bull work on?
Outdoors, grass, dirt, concrete and asphalt all work. For indoor floors such as gym wood, tile or carpet, tell us what you have and contact us for space requirements.
Does an indoor event cost more?
Our published hourly rates are $250 an hour up to 5 hours and $200 an hour for 6 to 9 hours, with travel at $2 a mile past 25 miles. If your venue has special load-in needs, tell us when you book.
Where can I hold an indoor party with a mechanical bull?
Gyms, civic centers, church fellowship halls, event barns, warehouses, party rooms and large event centers can work if they meet the space needs and allow the equipment. Ask your venue about its rules first.
What if it rains or turns cold on the day of my event?
Rain or high wind means we reschedule at no penalty, or move indoors if there is space.
